What's Campbell up to these days?

My little girl is getting sooooo big!

I noticed that whenever I put her in the bouncy or in her carseat, she was trying to sit up - sooo....we got out the exersaucer and she LOVES it! Here is a picture i took of her with my phone sitting in it! I have some better pics on my camers, but haven't uploaded them yet. (Brennan loves the exersaucer too and wants to show Campbell everything on it and play with all the toys himself! Such a good big brother).

Then last night I laid Campbell down on a quilt while I was putting some clothes away, and when I turned around, she had rolled from her belly to her back! I almost started crying (but instead started squealing and being so excited and yelling for PJ to come see!). She is just growing up so fast. I even have to put her in 6 month jammies b/c she is so long! And all this time I was thinking she would never get past the NB and 0-3 month size!

Campbell loves to talk and smile and laugh. Sometimes she acts bashful too, especially when her daddy is oggling over her - I love it!

Yesterday was a rough day for us all though. I returned to work full time this week and just was having a hard time with it. I got to daycare last night to learn that Campbell refused the bottle until about 1:30 (I last nursed her at 7am!). That was hard. And she didn't sleep well, though I think it had to do with the fact that she didn't always get her paci, but we think that is resolved (she is such a paci girl!). She slept like a ROCK last night though her nursing has increased at night over the past few weeks (which I expected - reverse cycle at it's best!) and the 10-4am stretch we used to get is gone. She now goes down around 8pm and then nurses every two hours until morning, when I have to wake her up to get her ready to go! But since we sleep next to each other, the nursing at night is easy and I hardly feel tired at all! She did sleep in her moses basket until midnight last night which was good too!

Oh and Brennan is the best thing ever as well - he LOVES his baby sister and missed her a lot while we were gone last week in San Antonio for a conference. He is talking so much these days too - stringing words together and really grasping a lot of concepts. It is amazing to see how fast he learns!

Lots to share!!!! We have had a busy month - from me returning to work part time, to getting the house organized, to having fun, and celebrating another birthday!

On a sad note - we want to say farewell to my in-laws dog - Lilly. She lived a long & good life.

Some recent pics of the kids. Brennan loving on his sister a bit too much for her liking....

Campbell is growing up so much. She smiles and giggles all the time. We spend much of our day "talking" to each other and I can tell she will be sitting up soon. She enjoys trying to sit, but often slumps over quickly. Often she is straining to sit up in her carseat or bouncy as well! Sleep is still going well with Campbell. I think we are going to get her nighttime routine started soon and get her down when Brennan goes down. She sleeps in our room - right now she is napping in the Moses basket which is in the Co-sleeper (it provides a cozier environment for her and she actually sleeps in it!), but at night she is right next to me. Her night time sleep periods are extending longer and longer. In fact, usually Brennan gets up 1-2 hours before Campbell ever stirs. Oh the difference in two children raised by the same parents.

A couple of weeks ago my dad and step mom came up to babysit while I went to work, but they also wanted a "honey-do" list. So we got some projects done. Here is a picture of my dad and I after we hung a new door on our screened in porch. We are NOT very handy, so we were VERY proud of ourselves!

Brennan's new kitchen (Thanks Belle and Mike!) arrived that weekend as well, so I patiently put it together. Not sure what he is making for us, but it looks good!

Campbell in the bumpo practicing her sitting skills!

Here is a picture of the organized garage - THANKS DAD! You should have seen it before - none of the toys or strollers were in there and you couldn't even walk in there, but he helped me get rid of things and got it organized for me!

So where did all those toys come from? the back porch of course! Which now is a place to sit and enjoy without getting bit by bugs (since there is a new door on it!). Thanks to Debbie for helping to clean it, organize it, and decorate it with a new rug and chair!

Relaxin after a lot of hard work.

Campbell after bath time. She really enjoys her baths.

We finally had Brennan's birthday celebration at daycare as well - here are alll the kids as we are preparing to sing!

Brennan excited to eat his brownie (I forgot candles, so we used tealights!)

Dance party while on a sugar high!

Having fun at the park with our friend Audrey

This is a picture of Brennan riding a bike - YEAH RIGHT! He thought he could ride it though, but we spent all weekend pushing him around!

Happy Birthday Cooper! My nephew turned one and we had a GREAT time celebrating with friends and family!

Camba's seat!

We were out of town this weekend and so before I left for work this am I took Brennan with me to go pick up Tucker from the doggy hotel. Tucker never staays in the way back of PJ's Explorer, so this morning was no exception. I opened a window in the backseat for him, where Campbell's carseat base is. Brennan freaked out and started crying and saying, "gacku (tucker), NOOOOO Campa's seat, nupf (enough) gacku - campba's seeeeeeeaaaat". This lasted the entire way home. It was so cute to hear how much he cares for his sister to protect her seat like that. love it!

We are glad to be home, but had a great time in Evansville celebrating my nephew's 1st bday - happy birthday cooper! Sleeping is rough in places besides home!

different kids, different sleepers

Brennan went to bed at 8pm last night, but didn't fall asleep until about 8:45pm. Then woke up at 12:30 and was up until almost 2am. this morning he was nice and cheery, ready for the world at 5:45am, but snuggled with me till about 6:40. Campbell on the other hand, fell asleep about 10pm last night, woke briefly to eat 2 or 3 times, and at 9am is still SOUND asleep.
