Crazy Little Monkey!

Things have been going pretty good in the McCool household.....well, good is relative. You will see below that most of the pics are of B-man....Lil C has been battling a horrible cold. Though the past 6 weeks have been rough - we have gone thru colds, stomach flu, RSV, ear infections, more colds, coughs, and now conjunctivitis......hmmmmmm and I wonder why I am out of Paid Time Off at work!

MeMaw and Gpa Rick came to visit and we took B to this really fun place called Monkey Joes. They have a toddler area, but why would this daredevil want anything to do with that? Instead he hung with the big kids and spent time scaling walls close to 8 feet tall no problem (mama's heart was pounding!). As you can see in the pic above, he even helped kids twice his size but lending a hand!

Last week I made a deal with B. If he would go to sleep on his own at night (after our bedtime routine) without fuss and without mama, he could pick a prize. So we created a sticker chart and he told me he wanted cake with candles and icing (and as we later learned, we had to sing happy birthday to each person present!)....so after 6 nights and 2-3 weekend naps, the time came! Here is b-man making his cupcakes with memaw!

He was hard at work pouring and mixing (and eating batter of course too!)

We had a Colts party at daycare and one of the dad's, who owns an airbrushing company, came in to paint faces. Poor lil B was still recovering from RSV, so he missed that day.

Lil C is becoming quite the little dancer. She loves to sit on the Lion and bounce and dance around. It is too cute!

Funny Tucker

Lil C things our dog Tucker is a riot. These days lil C is only happy if in a standing position and when she notices Tucker or he comes near her, she gets so excited and bends her knees and starts making the funniest noises. It makes me laugh.

Dear Children.....

Naps are not negotiable. Yet for some reason both of you decided that yesterday wasn't going to be a nap day. I love that you all love each other so much, really I do, but not at nap time. I would appreciate it if you all didn't look at each other and smile and laugh and get the other one all wound up, it really doesn't help my cause. I guess I need to rephrase my first sentence, obviously naps are negotioble seeing that neither of you took one yesterday.

Shhh, baby's sleeping

B-man took one of lil C's baby dolls yesterday, wrapped it up in a blanket, looked at me and said, Shhhhh, Baby's Sweeping...... then put the doll in the family room. He then announced to me that the baby was hungry and proceeded, holding the baby by the head, to "nurse" the baby via his belly button.

I love this song. And it never fails to calm down my children and lull them to sleep. I also love that Raffi came up with new verses so I don't get bored.
